A PROJECT WE NEED

AND LOVE

 

This is our first issue; a newsletter about a project that will spread throughout Europe reaching distant countries for two years. We think that there are never too many projects like this. “Live and learn together in a sustainable multicultural environment” will be an approach to the meaning of discrimination, xenophobia and multiculturalism for our students. Every European country receives immigrants or refugees currently; it’s a difficult growing situation we cannot ignore from our classrooms and which is getting more and more frequent in our society.

THE FIRST STEPS OF OUR PROJECT:

THE TRANSNATIONAL MEETING IN SWEDEN

 

The small and quiet Swedish city of Karlshamn was the scene of our Transnational Meeting between 7th and 11th October 2019. The host and project coordinator school is located in three magnificent buildings in the middle of nature, surrounded by trees and facing a silver-grey Baltic sea whose immensity shines through the windows of the classes and facilities of the Vägga Gymnasieskola.

THE FIRST LEARNING, TEACHING AND TRAINING ACTIVITITY MOBILITY: PODCASTS AND GREEK HOSPITALITY

 

Eighteen pupils and eleven teachers from Sweden, Spain, Italy, Portugal and Germany attended the 1st Learning, Teaching and Training Activity Mobility which took place on the Greek island of Corfu from 3rd to 9th November 2019. Since the very moment we were welcome at Corfu airport, till the farewell dinner with Greek music and dances, both the pupils and the teachers in the Greek Erasmus team threw themselves to look after the foreign participants in this meeting and did their best to make them enjoy a successful and pleasant week.
