For two years we developed a school project with partners from schools in Newcastle in England, Lindau in Germany and Locorotondo in Italy (the coordinator school). We designed a plan whose final product was to get a tourist guide which included different parts dealing with interesting aspects of the four cities of the partner schools and the surrounding area with its highlights of natural, historical or artistic interest.
In the project mobilities that our school achieved to Italy, Germany and England, we travelled with twenty pupils aged 14-16. We selected them among the best in attitude and English language skills. Apart from these twenty students, two other forms worked in the development of the project and during the visit to Spain we made as many students and parents as possible involve in all the activities which took place during the days of the meeting.
At the end of the project we had enjoyed a great deal of exceptional activities in every country. Among the ones which we won’t easily forget: the visit to the legendary castles on the coast of Northumbria in England, the amazing Baroque in the Italian cities of Lecce and Otranto and the surprising city of Alberobello near Locorotondo, or the magical route through the snowed Breitachklamm, a canyon in the mountains not too far from Munich, which was also visited along with other German cities like Ulm.
Our tourist guide has been used for tourist purposes in our village and also as a text in our English lessons.

Durante dos años, desarrollamos un proyecto escolar con socios de escuelas en Newcastle en Inglaterra, Lindau en Alemania y Locorotondo en Italia (la escuela coordinadora).
Diseñamos un plan cuyo resultado final fue una guía turística que incluía diferentes partes que trataban de aspectos interesantes de las cuatro ciudades de las escuelas asociadas y la zona circundante con sus puntos más destacados con interés cultural, artístico y natural.
En las movilidades del proyecto que nuestro instituto realizó a Italia, Alemania e
Inglaterra, viajamos con veinte estudiantes de edades entre los 14 y los 16 años. Los seleccionamos entre los mejores en actitud y en competencia en lengua inglesa. Aparte de estos veinte alumnos, dos clases más trabajaron en el desarrollo del proyecto y durante la visita a España hicimos que tantos alumnos y padres como fue posible se involucraran en todas las actividades que tuvieron lugar en los días del encuentro.
Al final del proyecto habíamos disfrutado de un buen número de actividades excepcionales en cada país. Entre las que no olvidaremos fácilmente: la visita a los legendarios castillos de la costa de Northumbria en el norte de Inglaterra, el asombroso barroco de las ciudades italianas de Lecce y Otranto y la sorprendente ciudad de Alberobello cerca de Locorotondo, o la mágica ruta a través del Breitachklamm nevado, un cañón en las montañas no demasiado lejos de Munich, que también se visitó como otras ciudades alemanas como Ulm.
Nuestra guía turística se ha usado con propósitos turísticos en nuestro pueblo y también como texto en algunas clases de inglés.
